School is going great. In science, we have been learning about force and energy. We got a new assignment to make a toy. On the paper, it said “you are hired to make a toy that will move without batteries by Twisted Trio Toy Company.” For the toy cars. We are going to need bottles, cardboard, bottle caps, or straws. Please help us out with materials if you can - we need bottle caps (milk ones are best) or old CDs, or lifesaver candies (round candies with a hole in the middle) or anything that can be used as wheels!
Also, in short take, we are learning how to change boring sentences into interesting sentences. We have to tell what it looks like, smells like, tastes like, and feels like, and why it’s important.
Math is fun with Ms Kriger. In math, Ms Kriger showed us how to do joining problems and removing problems.
Also, Ms Hussain came back this week on December 9, Yay! Ms Hussain was gone because she sprained her leg by playing soccer. So our substitute teacher was Ms Lindsay. Ms. Lindsay was really nice. With Ms Lindsay we did lots of gym. We got to go outside. We also got to eat snack whenever we wanted on Friday because there were only six people. Me (Sara), Trinity, Aliza, Rachel, Musa, and Bantaj.
Next week, is spirit week! That means, each day of the week, we will do something special and festive. On Monday December 16 it will be Spirit Day. So wear something red and green. On Tuesday December 17 wear fancy socks. On Wednesday December 18 wear a CHRISTMAS sweater! On Thursday December 19 it’s pajama day, so bring a stuff-toy and be warm. Wear something under your pajamas, it will be cold. Friday December 20 to Monday January 6 will be WINTER BREAK! Can’t wait!
