Here's what's been happening in school so far!
We have been busy setting goals for our learning this year. Some of us have started posting our goals on IRIS - ask me to see if I'm ready to show you my IRIS yet!
Friday, Sept. 27th, we had our Terry Fox run - it was cold and wet and started snowing but we still had a LOT of fun! We ran the whole time! It was challenging but we persevered!!
In Science, we have been learning about wheels and levers and other simple machines. We built a car using paper for the wheels and the car moves, too! We also raced our cars on a whiteboard race track!
During guided reading, we have been learning how to take visual notes and how to use a textbook.
In inquiry we are learning all about Alberta and its regions. Including what it looks like, what the climate is like, and what kinds of animals are found in different regions.
We are all really excited about our new class and friends and can't wait to continue to share our learning with you! Check out our photos of some of our special moments so far!
A message from the teacher
- Monday, September 30 is Orange Shirt Day - please wear something orange (shirt, sock, bracelets, etc.)
- Homewriting was due on Friday. Please hand in your work on Monday if you did not do so already.
